Project Specialist

Location: North Charleston, SC

• Serves as technical expert for selected information technology systems
• Designs, implements, operates and maintains assigned office and plant computing infrastructures, application delivery systems, telecommunication systems, and factory automation processes
• Plans and designs IT projects to support new applications and technologies, and designs processes for maintenance of such tools
• Cross trains and mentors others in the technical group to ensure high level of competence
• Designs and operates metric collection systems that monitor network and systems capability, performance, security, and event audit trails
• Provides consultation and project leadership on medium complexity projects
• Responsible for security of assigned systems

Requirements:

• Experience in a multi-server Microsoft environment with 50+ PCs
• Uses judgment,experience, as well as creativity and latitude to accomplish goals
• Ability to perform typical advanced server and network administration to include upgrades and maintenance of Intel hardware, Microsoft operating systems, and support functions
• Knowledge of user administration, firewall and router configuration, Microsoft Office suite support, Windows XP, 2003 Server, Exchange, security technologies, and Cisco switches and routers

Support Technician

Location: North Charleston, SC

Duties

• Primary contact for computer support to users inside and outside the company
• Answers Help Desk user calls
• Documents, tracks, and monitors problems to ensure a timely resolution
• Exercises independent judgment in scheduling technician job priorities, purchase actions, and customer actions
• Installs, maintains, and troubleshoots computer hardware, software, and networks

Requirements

• Associate's degree, and at least 2 years of IT or related experience
• Advanced education and/or certifications may be substituted for experience
• Systems and creative thinking capabilities
• Extensive Windows XP and Windows Server platform knowledge
• Relevant CompTIA, Microsoft or CISCO certifications such as A+, Network+, MCP or CCNA are highly desirable
